Nice to meet you! All the letters after my name just mean that I am a doctorally-prepared nurse practitioner with training as both a Psychiatric-Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner. I have worked in mental health for almost 10 years and the nursing field for over 20 years in various settings, including community mental health, inpatient psychiatry, home health, long-term care, and critical care. I obtained my BSN from University of Illinois at Chicago in 2002, my MSN from Vanderbilt University in 2013, and my doctorate in nursing from University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2020. Although nurse practitioners have full practice authority in 27 states, Tennessee requires a collaborating physician. I am supervised by Dr. Lauren Panezich.

Harmony Earth Integrative Mental Health was founded with the purpose of improving the mental health of individuals, one by one, thereby enhancing relationships, families, and communities. I began working in mental health as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute in 2014. I went on to get my degree as a Psychiatric NP after realizing the need for comprehensive care of people with mental health needs, and how often the medical system falls short in taking care of the whole person.

 

My practice is built within a framework of trauma-informed care and mindfulness-based interventions, both scientific evidence and intuition, compassion, acceptance, and collaboration.  I am privileged to work with persons of any gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, or religion. I find joy in helping others make changes that lead to and help sustain a fuller life, and appreciate that attaining mental health goes beyond taking medication. I look forward to working together with you to find a treatment plan that best helps you achieve your goals and potential.
